Expressive nature photography

Nature is inherently expressive. Give it the benefit of your attentiveness and you may just start to see, or imagine, beauty everywhere. Perhaps even where you’d least expect it.

It simply starts with an open look around. Observe your surroundings with a newfound curiosity. Allow yourself to be preoccupied by soft fascination. Try to reserve your judgement, however briefly.

This is how I tend to look at the natural world when my mind is not overly distracted by the everyday stuff. Just about anything can become a source of joyous discovery and inspiration.

To me, photography is a wonderful way to combine perception, expression and communication. It allows me to be mindful of details and essences, and for a moment focus solely on them. At the same time, it offers an opportunity to express myself and share my point of view.
